Since the 1860s, builders in Hong Kong have been draping their construction projects in vibrantly colored tarps wrapped around a bamboo skeleton to catch falling debris. 

In his Cocoons series, Peter Steinhauer captures these ordinary building projects and turns them into alien landscapes.
