Inspired by the classic paintings of the sea by William Turner, graphic designer Mike Kaplan wanted to re-imagine the works as long exposure photographs. He writes: 

Usually, photography is a medium that freezes a moment in time but I believe my work extends that moment so that the flow of time can be seen.
