Rodney Smith is such an iconic and recognizable photographer that it was hard picking one image to post (there were seriously 8 bajillion that I wanted to share). But my favorites seemed to be where he had hidden the face of his subjects.

One of the hallmarks of Smith’s portraiture is his use of whimsical, at times almost surreal visual twists. The humor he says is rarely planned and, in fact, it often surprises him.
